2020 STLP @Home: All-Digital State Championship

May 27, 2020 - The 2020 STLP @Home State Championship awards ceremony aired live on May 8. Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the state competition – normally held at Rupp Arena in Lexington – was presented virtually. The ceremony is now available to stream online anytime.

Hero Elementary Premieres June 1 on KET

May 27, 2020 - Science is powerful – and Hero Elementary, a new multiplatform animated PBS KIDS series, will help spark a love of science among kids nationwide when it premieres June 1 on KET. Hero Elementary is a school for budding superheroes, where kids learn to master their innate powers, like flying and teleportation, while exploring science along the way.

Announcing the KET Summer Story Contest

May 26, 2020 - The first-annual KET Summer Story Contest seeks to celebrate the everyday helpers and heroes who are answering the call during the coronavirus health pandemic, while encouraging student writing and creativity. We invite students who will be entering kindergarten, first, second, or third grade to submit an illustrated story centered on the theme “Meet the Helpers.”
